What Makes Her A Hate Sink?[]
- Ginger prioritizes her own desires, impulses, and resentments above everyone else, including her husband and child. Nearly every decision she makes serves her immediate wants, regardless of the damage caused.
- Ginger treats Sam’s money as an entitlement, bleeding him dry through reckless spending and funneling funds to Lester Diamond, fully aware of the consequences.
- Her obsessive attachment to Lester overrides reason, self-preservation, and responsibility. She enables his criminality while letting him exploit her repeatedly.
- She lies compulsively, weaponizing charm and victimhood to get what she wants. She manipulates Sam, law enforcement, and even her own child to escape accountability. She also starts having an illicit affair with Nicky Santoro, corrupting even more the already ruthless and violent criminal, and tarnishing his relationship and friendship with Ace to the point they stop being friends.
- Even when given countless chances to escape her destructive lifestyle, Ginger actively rejects stability, sobriety, or responsibility, choosing chaos over growth.
- Her addiction and selfishness render her an unfit parent. She repeatedly places her child in unsafe situations, prioritizing drugs, money, and Lester over maternal duty. This got so bad that she even tied up her own daughter only to keep her quiet so she can go to Nicky's place.
- As her substance abuse worsens, Ginger becomes increasingly erratic, hostile, and dangerous, lashing out without regard for consequences. This even annoys Nicky to the point he deservedly rejects her and expresses remorse for getting around with her.
- She resents Sam’s control while freely abusing his resources, condemns his methods while benefiting from his empire, and demands freedom without accepting responsibility.
- Her constant abuse and reckless behavior ends up being the near perdition for the Chicago Outfit and Ace, provoking the deaths of many members of the criminal group at the orders of Remo Gaggi so they can be silenced, and Ace almost getting arrested, altough he ends up been saved and still on the bussiness. Meanwhile, this ended being the total perdition for Nicky and Ginger herself, as Nicky and his brother Dominick get both brutally killed by being bloodily beat up and buried alive, as for Ginger, she manages to keep a fair amount of Ace's money, but she spends it all inmediatly on drugs and hooking up with pimps, showing once again her reckless and irresponsible behavior that this time, gets against her and gives her the impending destiny that she deserved, as she slowly dies of an overdose probably atributted to her abuse of drugs (although it's implied the mafia probably setted this up), and she dies in poverty with only $3600 in her name. Her fate it's not played by sympathy as she brought it up on herself.
