It was pretty tough, you know? Turning Bambi-chan into a zombie. With fellow Quincy, I can't do it until they're already dead, so I actually had to finish her off myself! I remember Bambi-chan's face when I did it. That face... made me so wet...
~ Giselle describing her excitement after killing Bambietta and turning her into a zombie.

Giselle Gewelle is a supporting antagonist in Bleach. She is a Quincy and a member of the Wandenreich's Sternritter, with the designation "Z" - "The Zombie".

She is voiced by Nao Toyama in Japanese and Casey Mongillo in English.

What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]

  • After Bambietta lost her fight against Komamura during the second Quincy invasion of Seireitei and lay defeated on the ground, Giselle stood over her boss and said with a smile on her face that she would be sad without her and that she would "help" her, which completely terrified Bambietta and she began to beg for mercy, after which Giselle mercilessly killed her and turned her into a zombie.
  • After turning Bambietta into a zombie, she used her with impunity as her own passive puppet in the fight against Yumichika and Ikkaku, and later against Charlotte.
    • During Bambietta's fight with Yumichika and Ikkaku, Giselle revealed with excitement on her face and saliva flowing from her mouth that when she personally killed Bambietta, it "made her wet", showing her complete sadism and necrophilic tendencies.
  • During the fight between Giselle and her zombie puppets against Mayuri Kurotsuchi, Bambietta, unable to control her actions, started begging Giselle for something, to which she only responded by punching Bambietta straight in the face and then pulled her hair, stating that she was greedy.
  • Later in Giselle's fight with Mayuri, it was revealed that the former had also managed to turn Tōshirō Hitsugaya (when she found him barely alive after his fight with Cang Du), Rangiku Matsumoto, Kensei Muguruma and Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi into a helpless zombie.
  • After being stabbed by a zombified Kensei, taken over by Mayuri, a severely injured Giselle took Bambietta to the rubble and drank her blood to regenerate. When Bambietta begged her not to drink too much of it, Giselle in an angry frenzy grabbed Bambietta's face and began to brutally slam her into the ground, claiming that she was already dead anyway, so she should give her all the blood.
    • When she finished pounding her to the ground and Bambietta lay completely dead, Giselle excitedly started hugging her, telling her how much she "loved" her and that she was now "more beautiful than ever", making it even clearer that Giselle was a necrophiliac.
    • She tongued out towards Mayuri.
  • In Can't Fear Your Own World light novel, it's reveal she's still alive and still use Bambietta as her slave, making her Karma Houdini..
  • Overall, despite being a minor character, Giselle has shown through her extreme sadism, lack of any compassion or mercy (particularly towards Bambietta), and deviant behavior strongly indicative of necrophilia, that she is one of the most despicable, disturbing and repulsive characters in the entire Bleach series.
