The Goblins are the titular main antagonistic faction of the anime and light novel series, Goblin Slayer.

What makes them despicable?

All goblins are evil by nature. They are incapable of being good.
They are disgusting, ugly creatures.
Unlike most depictions of goblins in fiction, these goblins are rapists. They are an all male race who reproduce by raping and impregnating females of other races.
It is mentioned that they prefer young girls. The younger the better. This implies that they may be pedophiles as well.
They keep their rape victims as sex slaves and torture them for weeks.
Goblin children have been known to eat the flesh of their mothers after they die.
They are incredibly cruel, taking extreme joy in the suffering of others.
They have ransacked entire villages and killed many humans, elves, dwarves, and other beings.
Most goblins don't even care for one another, viewing each other as pawns and meat shields. Some goblins even laugh at the misery and death of each other.
It’s also implied that the goblins had also sexually targeted animals, hinting at the fact that they also committed acts of zoophilia, which, in turn, is by far the truly most disturbing fetish aspect in manga and anime to date.
They often drag their victims' suffering out, torturing them for long periods of time.
They hate all races apart from their own and will attack any non goblin creature on sight.
They are cowards, groveling and begging for mercy when at the mercy of another.
Goblins are completely ungrateful. They have been known to kill those that spare them.
Goblins are incredibly petty and cruel. One goblin broke a mage's staff just because he realized it had sentimental value to her.
Goblins will use captured women as meat shields, knowing that most adventurers would want to spare the women.
They are not above continuing to sexually abuse a corpse after their rape victim has died. This implies that they are also necrophiles, too.
They are highly vengeful, not caring that their deaths are justified by self-defense.
It's mentioned that they don't even enjoy sex if they aren't also torturing their victim to the point of death during the act.
