“ | You just don't get it, do you? You clearly don't get it? You were always so strong, so powerful and had strong pokemons... You had all the fame.. AND NOT ONCE, DID I! YOU DIDN'T CATCH MEW BECAUSE? WHAT! YOU WANTED TO LET IT FREE?!?! CATCHING MEW IS SOMETHING I WANTED! BUT NO! YOU DECIDE TO BE FRIENDLY AND JUST LET IT GO!? I DON'T GET IT! YOU WERE ALWAYS SOMETHING, VICTOR! IF THAT WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME STRONGER! Then... YOUR POKEMONS ARE MINE! | „ |
~ Goh revealing his true colors and massive rant about Victor not catching Mew. |
Goh is a minor yet pivotal antagonist of a pokemon fanfic, Pokémon Dominion and its spin off series, Pokémon: The Critical Journeys.
He is a trainer whose goal is to capture Mew and 100 pokemon, however he goes too far and tries to steal Victor's pokemon for himself, including the ones in his boxes. He is Victor's archenemy.
What makes him a Hate Sink?[]
- His goal to catch Mew is just him wanting to feel so praised by others.
- He manipulates Victor and Gloria into going a cabin for the night just so he can steal their pokemon for himself.
- He manages to steal Victor's pokemon so he can use them against him for his enjoyment.
- When Chloe found out his plans, he forcibly tied her down and hide her in a room so he wouldn't get exposed.
- While it seems he loves Marnie, however its nothing more than an obsession.
- His excuse of being insane after catching too many pokemon is nothing but petty as it was his fault for doing it.
- Even when he's losing to Victor (despite using his own pokemon against him) he still won't admit defeat to Victor until he wins.
- He shows no care for his childhood bestfriend Chloe and wanted Marnie for himself, to the point he tried to force Victor to give her to him.
- It's shown that he abused his own Cinderace into becoming stronger, as well his own pokemons.
- After losing the battle, he attempts to steal Victor's Cinderace for himself.
- When he lost, he keeps having various breakdowns, not wanting to lose. However it's not played for sympathy, as it's him being petty.
- When Officer Jenny comes in to stop the battle. He tries to accuse that Victor stole his pokemons. However, she already knew the truth and arrests him.
- After being arrested, he threatens to kill Victor for making him lose his mind.
- Even his own pokemons hated him and were afraid of him due to his abusive jealousy towards Victor.
- Even his Cinderace became traumatized for his abuse to a point of PSTD, though thankfully Victor's mother took care of it and became more of a mother figure to it.
- Unlike his original counterpart who's a heroic character, this Goh is completely devoid of any positive traits his original counterpart had and is instead a petty egomaniac.
- Unlike the other villains who done worse than him, at least they have redeeming qualities and sympathetic backgrounds. Goh has none of those qualities and is instead an abusive egomaniac.
Trivia[]
- In the original script, Goh caught Mew and used it to catch every single legendary pokemons against it's own will and caused it to destroy the entire world but was scrapped due to difficulties. If this was still added, it would've make Goh even more worse.
- In a different original script, He was in a group alongside Kayla, Daniel and Chloe called The Heist Club and tried to sabotage Victor during his Journeys throughout the series but this scrapped due to the same difficulties. If this was still added in the final script, it would make slightly less worse yet still a Hate Sink.
