The Gold-Toothed Doctor is a major antagonist of Fullmetal Alchemist manga and the 2009 anime. He is responsible for the homunculus Wrath and assisted Father and the Homunculi.
He is voiced by Bon Ishihara in the Japanese version, and Mark Stoddard in the English dubbed version.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He is shown to be quite psychotic, ruthless and a massive sadist in general.
- He is the only one of the Homunculi's human allies who is completely aware of Father's plans to take over the world and destroy humanity, yet he chooses to do nothing about it.
- He arrogantly believes that he is more important than he really is, being unable to realize that the Homunculi merely thought of him as just another human.
- He has remorselessly performed numerous inhumane and gruesome experiments with alchemy and his Philosopher's Stone in order to create Wrath and is behind many tortures and killings.
- He shows immense sadistic enjoyment while subjecting multiple people to his torturous experiments.
- He does not consider his test subjects necessarily as people, but rather expendable projects and pawns in his plans, which include an effort to create a new human being.
- He has Riza Hawkeye's throat slit by one of his guards as a sadistic means of forcing Mustang into opening the portal of truth or else Hawkeye will die.
- He smugly believes that the failed candidates in his experiments must have been grateful to him for taking them in, feeding them, educating them and giving them the meaning of existence, something that disgusts both Roy and Zampano.
- His fate of getting stabbed by Pride to be used as a raw human sacrifice to force Mustang through the gate and becoming a disgusting mass of flesh is not played for sympathy, as he deserved it for all of the nefarious crimes he had committed.
- Despite being a person who is very intelligent and skilled in the field of medical alchemy, he outright chooses to serve Father, who's far more evil than him, just because it gives him a chance to do terrible things for science.
- He overall has no redeeming qualities and is one of Fullmetal Alchemist's most deplorable villains, having no morals and showing no hesitation to injure, threaten, or even kill others to get what he wants.
