Gonzô Kosugi is a major antagonist of the Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead anime series. He is the former team leader and supervisor of Akira Tendo's company who abused his position by exploiting Akira. After the zombie apocalypse, he became the tyrannical leader of a survivor group where he would recruit minions and force them to work for him.

He was voiced by Kenta Miyake in the Japanese sub, and by Jamieson Price in the English dub. He was additionally portrayed by Kazuki Kitamura in the Netflix live-action adaptation.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

All adaptions

• While he acts nice at times, it's facade to gain the trust of his other survivors and he will drop the act when the time is right.
• He was a corrupt business team leader who gave his coworkers unfair work hours, even forcing them to work more many times (while he did next to nothing) for a whole year. This would tear away at their sanity and makes him partially responsible for Akira's depression before the apocalypse. This also made Akira nearly commit suicide.
• He's just as horrible as his past self after the apocalypse and exploits a community of survivors who he manipulated into joining him by placing them in dangerous situations where they feel they forced to help him after he saved them, manipulating them into believing it's for survival when it's for his own gain. He ends up enslaving Akira and in addition to his friends once more when he placed spikes in roads which got their RV crashed and nearly got Kencho killed.
• He is a misogynistic pervert who berates an older unattractive woman for serving him beer then demands the younger Shizuka serve him, so he can stare at her in a perverted manner.
• Attempted to separate Akira from Kencho and Shizuka by making him work under him again and nearly succeeded had Shizuka not brought Akira to his senses.
• When Zombies broke into his location he attempted to save his own spine.
• Despite the fact that Akira saved him from zombies, he showed no gratitude for it.
• Everyone gets so fed up with his abuse and left him to fend for himself, where he begged pathetically for them to stay. And though he will have to survive alone against the zombies, his fate is played for karma and satisfaction. Even Akira, who is a friendly and compassionate person, couldn't help but smirk at him sobbing and begging.

Anime & Manga

• He made Akira pull a truck with zombies which would've endangered many people.
• Attempted to make perverted advances on Shizuka, and his abusive behavior on Akira was so bad she saw him equally terrible as her own abusive father.

Live Action

• Like his anime/manga counterpart, he's an equally horrible boss to both his employees and his fellow survivors.
• When zombies broke into the aquarium, he used some of his own men as meat shields to save his own skin.
• When everyone ditched him, he cowardly begs everyone to not leave him behind even after his abuse towards them and throwing them under the bus to save himself. And ends up being left behind by everyone, where he has to likely fend for himself.

Trivia

• He is the only Zom: 100 Hate Sink with to be alive, with Shizuka's father has an ambiguous fate, and the Chairman and Touko Kanbayashi being killed/zombified.
