Gyro's Father

Gyro's Father is a posthumous overarching antagonist of Hunter x Hunter. He was the abusive father of Gyro.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

When asked if he cared if Gyro died, he said "Who cares? Doesn't matter to me either way.". This shows his complete lack of empathy for his own son.
Ignored his son's feelings throughout his life, despite Gyro's love and idolization of him.
Would sadistically beat Gyro if he made even a minuscule noise while sleeping after 9, even forcing him to piss silently in a jar.
Forced Gyro into manual labor so he could buy him alcohol.
He showed no concern when Gyro was being beaten by a bully who was telling Gyro his father doesn't love him, which taught Gyro that he is a solely alone individual and sent him down a path of rising through power so he can spread his hate throughout the world.
He has no redeeming qualities or complexity unlike many villains in the series.
