“ | A lot of folks say I went mad. That the radiation sickness did something to my brain... But who else was I gonna mate with besides my first cousin? Jenny She-Hulk was the only woman out there who could take the damn pace! | „ |
~ Banner, embracing his incestuous and depraved nature. |
Robert Bruce Banner, better known as the Hulk, is the main antagonist of Old Man Logan. He is the sadistic leader of the Hulk Gang, a group of hillbilly thugs resulting from Hulk impregnating his first cousin She-Hulk.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- The text indicates he was once a hero like his original counterpart. As time passed, however, he became more vile and cruel, presumably because of the gamma radiation corrupting his mind. However, he shows a clear understanding between right and wrong, and instead embraces all of his worst traits, which disqualifies the Hulk from having any moral agency issues.
- When the villains attacked the United States, Hulk ended up siding with the villains instead.
- After the villains killed off most of the heroes, Hulk ends up killing Abomination and conquering his portion of land, which extended from Washington to California.
- At some point, he demanded the Tinkerer to create an adamantium suit to preserve his body should he get killed. Once Tinkerer finished, Hulk killed and ate him, showing how he lacks any honor. It is implied Tinkerer wasn't even the first person he cannibalized.
- Forced his cousin Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) to inter-breed with him, beginning a horrible family of hillbilly Hulks known as the Hulk Gang. The quote above heavily implies he tried doing the same thing with other humans, and She-Hulk only survived from him because she would not be poisoned by the gamma radiation. It is very likely Hulk did this to preserve his rotten legacy.
- For many years, he and his gang would extort money from numerous civilians by forcing them into paying monthly "rent". If people did not have enough money for the rent, the Hulk Gang would visit them. The Hulk Gang would either beat up or outright kill them, something Hulk happily supported.
- Once the Hulk Gang ended up killing Logan's family, Logan snapped and killed every single member barring Billy-Bob and Bruce Jr. Hulk's response to finding out was to tell Logan how he wanted to see the old Wolverine, proving that Hulk didn't even care for his family.
- While Wolverine attacked him for actions, Bruce retaliated and bragged about his past.
- Upon transforming into his Hulk form, he beat down and ate Wolverine.
- In Wastelanders: Wolverine, Banner is revealed to be alive as a head inside the adamantium armor, and attempts to kill Wolverine again to try to get his son back and take revenge on their last encounter.
- While Wolverine bursting out of Hulk's stomach the first encounter was shown to be gruesome, and his second encounter resulted in him being buried with tree roots growing out of his head, his defeats were clearly well-deserved because of how horrible and disturbing of an individual Banner was.
- He lacks any redeeming moments and everything about him is portrayed seriously.
- Unlike the mainstream version (who is selfless, caring, tragic, heroic, and very rarely villainous), this version is the complete opposite, overall being an extremely depraved individual who actively embraces in cannibalism, rape, and incest.
