Jack-in-the-Box (Fantasia 2000)

The Jack-in-the-Box is the main antagonist of Piano Concerto No. 2 (The Steadfast Tin Soldier) the fourth segment in Disney's 38th full-length animated feature film Fantasia 2000.

What makes him a Hate Sink?[]

He repeatedly mocks and harasses the Tin Soldier, using his flexibility and size to intimidate and humiliate him. His hostility toward the Tin Soldier stems from jealousy over the Ballerina’s affection, treating her as something to be owned rather than a person with agency.
The Jack exploits his spring-loaded body and reach to overpower the Tin Soldier, relying on brute force instead of fairness.
He forcefully confines the Ballerina inside the box, physically preventing her from leaving or choosing her own path. He attempts to isolate the Ballerina by removing or destroying anything that threatens his dominance over her.
He shows no concern for the emotional or physical harm he causes, focusing only on asserting control and “winning.”
He has no cool or redeeming qualities.
His death is played for complete satisfaction.
