Jack Anders is one of the four antagonists in the 1980 exploitation film, Cannibal Holocaust. Part of Alan Yates' film crew, he participates in sadistically tormenting and snuff filming the Ya̧nomamö Tribe.
He was portrayed by Perry Pirkanen.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- To help Alan and the crew find where the Yacumo tribe is located, he shoots one of their warriors in the leg so they can follow him back to his village.
- Traps members of the Yacumo tribe (women and children included) in a hut, sets it ablaze, and then proceeds to film the entire ordeal in order to stage a massacre.
- Alongside Alan and Mark, he gangrapes and presumably murders a Ya̧nomamö girl via impalement just for kicks.
- Clearly doesn't even care for his own wife and son.
- His role was overall ruined due to not having much complexity and not being presented as much more than a common “kill people, make money” villain.
- If it weren't for the fact that he was the first person to die, he would've potentially committed even more crimes as he was shown to lack any redeeming qualities. Even Alan displayed some love for Faye before subverting it by leaving her to die.
