Jake is a supporting antagonist in Season 4 of Stranger Things. He is the boyfriend of Angela at Lenora Hills High School who assists her in bullying Jane/Eleven.
He is portrayed by Logan Allen.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He's a generic school bully with nothing to detract from it.
- He’s incredibly socially stunted and simpleminded, unlike Angela who is at least a competent bully.
- He helps Angela in bullying El (a foster child who only wants to fit in) and does just as much as Angela in order to contribute:
- He blew a spitball at El before even meeting her.
- He called El's diorama a "diarrhea," showing how childish he is.
- He grabbed El's drink from her so Angela can drag her to the rink and humiliate her, then he finished by throwing her drink at her dress and causing her to fall down in front of everybody which Angela didn't even think to do while the DJ yelled "wipeout." This act traumatized her to the point she flashbacked the time Two and his fellow child subjects tried to kill her.
- Laughed when El demanded an apology and laughed some more and looked at Chad when Angela insulted El about her father, showing he is willing to violate boundaries. Her dad was alive but Jake's intentions counted 100 percent.
- The only form of karma Jake gets is being shocked and horrified when Angela was smashed by a roller skate as his and girlfriend's cruelty pushed El to her breaking point, leaving them to realize the consequences of their actions.
- He is a hypocrite, as he body-shames Mike by calling him a "twig" before meeting him and barely interacting with him, showing he is willing to make fun of those upon first glance and project onto them out of sheer narcissism without getting to know them.
- Unlike Chad, Stacy, and the DJ from Rink-O-Mania, Jake does have a personality and several lines of dialogue, just like Angela, Troy Walsh, and Jason Carver.
