Jorah Tightwad is an episodic antagonist of the LEGO Nexo Knights TV series. He is a Knightonian business tycoon known for both his wealth and greed. Starting out as King Halbert's rival, he eventually became a true villain by threatening the well-being of an entire town (and later the whole kingdom) for the sake of getting richer.
He was voiced by Brian Drummond.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Episodes where he has a major role typically involve him trying to spite King Halbert or get richer through immoral means.
- It's been hinted that his "gold factory" is a sham and he actually buys golden items to re-sell them at a higher price.
- At the king's tournament, he demanded a kiss from princess Macy to be a prize for his Tighty Knighties' victory, despite both Macy and her father being against it, and repeatedly disturbed her with inappropriate gestures in anticipation.
- He planned to drive the citizens of Nothing Hill out of their town, which was the poorest one in Knighton, to claim the gold buried under it for himself.
- He convinced the amnesiac Clay to become his enforcer and destroy the citizens' houses. To add insult to the injury, he paid the victims with "Jorahbucks" which had absolutely no value.
- It should be noted that even Lance, who typically doesn't care much for commoners, was disgusted by such actions.
- He is a horrible boss to the Tighty Knighties, making them work with no break at one point.
- He sold Lord Krakenskull and his army to Jestro and Monstrox just because he knew they would use it against King Halbert, and even offered them to rule Knighton together, despite the two planning to destroy the kingdom.
- Even though he ultimately never succeeds in his schemes, he barely gets any punishment for them either.
- While other Nexo Knights villains have comedic traits, sympathetic qualities, or both, Jorah's comedic moments become less frequent once he becomes a villain and give him very little likeability, and there's nothing sympathetic about his character.
