Jschlatt is a major antagonist in the Dream SMP. He was portrayed as a ruthless dictator who had little to no redeeming qualities and managed to turn everyone in the server against him due to his unfair rule.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Upon gaining presidency, he proceeded to revoke the citizenship of Wilbur and Tommy, the country's previous President and Vice President. To make this worse they were also the ones to get him unbanned from the Dream SMP in the first place.
- Ordered Tubbo to bring Tommy to him in order to be executed. Keep in mind that Tommy was child during this arc, AND Tubbo was also his best friend.
- Renamed L'manberg to Manberg and tore down the walls, thus stripping away its identity and morals.
- Had Tubbo decorate his own execution with it being disguised as a festival.
- Was extremely abusive towards his Vice President Quackity, with him constantly ignoring the other's requests, which is made worse when you consider that Quackity was the large reason he appointed into Presidency to begin with. He even demanded Quackity tear down the White House, a building that the other expressed his love towards. This also ended up being the thing that made Quackity turn against him.
- Over-taxed Niki to the point where she had to shut down her own bakery.
- In the Manberg vs. Pogtopia war instead of fighting for his own side, he chose to be a coward and hide within the Camarvan.
- Even in his final moments he chose to insult Fundy by saying that he will never be a man, which is both racist due to the latter being an anthropomorphic fox, and transphobic due to Fundy's character canonically being trans.
- In the end, he managed to turn almost everyone in the Dream SMP against him.
- Like Dream, he doesn't stream his POV, which makes it extremely difficult, if not impossible to understand his Point of View, and thus making it harder to sympathize with him.
- Even during his funeral, no one showed him any respect, with the members attending taking their chances to express their hatred towards him.
- Despite having comedic moments as a ghost, he is still shown to be cruel, with him motivating Quackity to torture Dream to get the revive book.
- During the Tales from the SMP episode The Haunted Mansion he manipulated everybody to come to his mansion and supposedly killed them, only to have revealed that it was all a trick to come to his grave for a spa day, with Karl expressing rage towards this and leaving.
- While Dream would later become more sympathetic with the server's ending, Jschlatt never received this, instead dying a lonely, pathetic loser.
