Hate Sink Wiki

Either you break it, you pixelated moron, or I'll turn you into a social network for teens.
~ Justin Hammer to Mr. Fix

Justin Hammer is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Obadiah Stane) of Season 2 in the TV animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures.

He is the young owner of Hammer Multinational. With his armor he becomes the Titanium Man, becoming the arch-rival of Tony Stark.

He was voiced by Michael Adamthwaite.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

In General[]

  • Not only is he a spoiled and pompous man who loves showing off his wealth but a power-hungry megalomaniac who wants more power and willing to do anything to get it and throws tantrums when things don't go out his way.
  • He lacks any charm or likable qualities that his comic counterpart has.

Iron Man: Armored Adventures[]

  • He successfully buys Stark International to sell weapons after Obadiah Stane falls into a coma, he stops Tony from receiving an allowance and also from taking over the company when he turns 18, leading to Tony losing his inheritance and forcing him to create his own startup, "Stark Solutions," to fund his heroic activities.
  • When he spots Iron Man's armor, he attacks and celebrates in joy when he seemingly "kills" him only to realize there was no blood on it, showing that he wanted to gleefully kill the teenager.
  • He is an absolutely horrible boss to work for and all his henchmen only work for him because of his money.
    1. After Mr. Fix, Whiplash, and Blizzard are defeated by Iron Man and War Machine, Fix escapes and gets into his limo, he injects him with a nanovirus to prevent him from escaping or turning against him, then forcing him work and create weapons for him, to become better than Iron Man.
    2. After being defeated by Iron Man and War Machine, he blames and punishes Mr. Fix for his own stupidly and soon transfers his consciousness to an implant in his computer so he can work on his projects 24 hours a day. Detail: when he supposedly killed Fix, the other villains were horrified and disgusted by what he did.
      • He ignores Mr. Fix's warnings that the titanium armor wasn't ready and uses the armor anyway, which leads to his humiliating defeat by Iron Man and War Machine by exploiting its weakness and causing the armor to overheat. He punished Fix for this despite it being his fault in the first place.
    3. He constantly mocks Unicorn and Killer Shrike for their idiocy, despite him being just as stupid as them.
    4. He has Killer Shrike and zombified, accusing him of blackmailing, despite him not.
  • He had Mr. Fix rematerialize the Living Laser and intended to erase its memory and use it to mass-produce a weapon he planned to sell to terrorist organizations like AIM or HYDRA, and also to use it as research for the "Titanium Project." He was responsible for the emergence of the Dark Half of the Living Laser.
  • He created zombie gas just for fun, claiming that "everyone likes zombies", Sasha correctly states that it's a VERY bad idea since something went wrong. It would cause an accidental zombie apocalypse, something Hammer doesn't care about.
  • When his crimes and true colors are exposed by Iron man and War Machine with help of Mr. Fix who betrays him and reveals himself as mysterious blackmailer sending threatening messages as revenge for digitizing him on a whim he in his Titanium Man armor attempts to cowardly flee and launch bomb full of his zombie gas that will infect entire New York City.
  • Once Iron Man effortlessly defeats him with Extremis, Hammer pleads for mercy when Iron Man grabs him, showing us despite his beliefs he is untouchable as long as he is rich, and smug attitude, Hammer is a coward who will beg for mercy once he is completely outmatched and when everything is taken away from him.
  • He is easily the most hateable villain in the series, as he doesn't have the same "Evil is Cool" elements or likable characteristics that other villains in the series have, and his funny moments only highlight how pathetic he is.

Trivia[]

  • He's easily the despicable version of Justin Hammer, being an arrogant, self-centered, sadistic, ruthless and greedy scoundrel. He's also immature and impulsive, and not as intelligent as other versions of him.
  • This is so far the only version of Hammer to be a Hate Sink.
