Jyun Owada is a major antagonist in Persona 5 Strikers. He is a corrupt politician who wants to be the next prime minister of Japan, as well as a member of the Antisocial Force, a corrupt organisation who wants to rule over and have control of Japan.
What makes him hated?[]
- His personality is very similar to that of Masayoshi Shido's, as well as many corrupt politicians seen in real life.
- He killed Zenkichi Hasegawa's wife Aoi, which made Zenkichi's relationship with his daughter Akane very strained, to the point she was manipulated by Akira Konoe and EMMA to become a monarch.
- He got Akira Konoe to brainwash any police offers who were suspected to oppose Owada using the application EMMA.
- He, along with the brainwashed general of the National Police Agency, bribed Miyako Kaburagi into capturing the Phantom Thieves of Hearts. This made Zenkichi get arrested to take the Thieves' place and needed to be rescued by Sae Niijima.
- After Konoe willingly turns himself into the police, Owada tries to remove any links Konoe had to him, trying to cover up the fact he is a corrupt man.
- Unlike Konoe, who is at least charismatic and a well-intentioned extremist with a tragic backstory, Owada has no form of evil is cool or redeeming qualities whatsoever, just being a standard corrupt politician.
