What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Led a group of mercenaries who were hired by Eli Mills prior to the events of the film, but never cared for any of them.
- It is also more than implied that he does not care about Mills at all and may even have reported him to the authorities after the incident, which would have further proved his hypocrisy.
- Deceiving Claire and Owen's team while claiming he is trying to save the dinosaurs, when in fact he is transporting dozens of dinosaurs for sale.
- He completely ignored Evan's warning about his men's proximity to the Raptor Blue, what couse one of Wheatley's mercenaries injured her. as Owen come to confront him he shoots a tranquilizer Which causes him to collapse and then Vitaly and his men abandon him.
- Leaves Owen Grady, Claire Dearing and Franklin Webb stranded on Isla Nublar to die either by being devoured by the dinosaurs left there or by the incoming volcano eruption from Mount Sibo after they retrieve Blue the Velociraptor for him.
- Shows open and misogynistic disgust to Zia Rodriguez, what particularly unique, as no other character in the franchise has shown any kind of mysognystic behaviors. he also save her only for taken care on injured Blue, what only for pragmatic and even threatening her with death if she doesn't save Blue.
- He never truly care for Blue - only needed her alive to him and his men get paid from Mills and this was his fault that she get injured.
- Collects dinosaur teeth to make a necklace of fangs through the film, even rooting the tooth of a Stegosaur and appreciating the pain the beast experiences after waking up, making this easily one of the most malicious onscreen animal cruelty acts in the franchise.
- He’s responsible for Mills and Eversol successfully selling many dinosaurs to arms dealers and terrorists. Furthermore, his capture of Blue would’ve led to Mills developing more versions of the Indoraptor, which would be used as weapons of war.
- He imprisons Owen and Claire after they manage to get to the mansion and calls Mills who lets them both rot in a dinosaur cell, without anyone knowing they survived.
- When he finds the dangerous Indoraptor in a cage he is interested in it since it was not captured on the island so he decides to shoot it and then extract its teeth for his necklace, ignoring the tragedy of the creature.
- His death by the Indoraptor while brutal as he tricking him, ripping his arm off and proceeding to maul him. is karma, satisfaction and well-deserved for his atrocities.
- Even after his death his influence continues as he is the one who opened the Indoraptor's cage and caused it to escape and kill many people.
