Kent Swanson is a major antagonist in the 2006 video game Dead Rising. He is an arrogant young photographer who was incredibly jealous of Frank's photography skills and became a rival of him.
He was voiced by Marty Belafsky.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- He acts like a jerk to Frank, constantly insulting his photography skills while trying to best him at them.
- He also acts rather questionable when showing off his photography, calling a photo of a woman he likely took out of perversion and without consent "sexy", as well as showing off a photo of someone getting killed by a zombie just to get a thrilling shot.
- In the scoop mission "Cut From the Same Cloth", he will intentionally be irritating my moving across places frequently, whilst taunting Frank and laughing throughout. Him taking a camera shot and doing his signature pose is also unpredictable with timing to intentionally be more frustrating.
- He makes an attempt to turn Tad into a zombie with a parasite and, depending on whether or not Frank is there to stop him, would have succeeded in doing so.
- Depending on the route, he would either try to kill Frank for stopping him from turning Tad into a zombie with the parasite or just to get another "good shot" of him being eaten alive by zombies.
- If Frank does fail to save Tad, he will show him the photo of the parasite crawling into Tad's mouth and believes he is better then Frank because of it, as it is "thinking outside the box", before chaining Frank and stripping him from his weapons to simply humiliate him and make him a photo target.
- His death is given no sympathy, with Frank denying his request to take a picture of him for his mantle and throwing his camera away out of disgust for his actions.
