Khaled Al-Asad is a major antagonist in the Call of Duty franchise's original Modern Warfare sub-series, notably the secondary antagonist of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (and its remastered version) and a posthumous antagonist for the rest of the sub-series.
He was voiced by Gabriel Al-Rajhi.
What makes him a Hate Sink?[]
- He is an extreme hypocrite, because he claimed that the reason behind his coup d'etat was to get rid of the corruption of Saudi Arabia and that the government sold off the country to the West, he contradicts his speech by doing actions inhumanely worse than what the previous leader Al-Fulani had ever done. This shows that he only desired to be leader to feed his power-hungry ego.
- Another contradictory point in his speech is that he wants Saudi Arabia to get independent from the West, yet he clearly is a sellout too, clearly depending on the Russian Ultranationalists.
- When detonating a nuclear device in his country, he flees off to Azerbaijan to save his skin rather than taking the sacrifice, leaving even his own men to die without any care.
- When interrogated by Captain Price, his cowardly nature is revealed, as while he was smug throughout the game, he was seen attempting to aggressively escape his bonds, whilst also begging for his life in the remaster before his well-deserved execution.
