Kiichiro Osoreda is a minor antagonist in the Death Note series, appearing in Episode 4. He is a violent criminal who Light controls with the Death Note as part of a scheme to obtain Raye Penber's real name.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• He's a notorious drug addict and murderer who only cares about getting money to feed his habit, and has no problem indiscriminately killing anyone in his way. He's also very sadistic and clearly enjoys terrorizing innocent people.
• He robbed a bank and fatally shot a teller and two customers when he was unsuccessful, even before Light controlled him with the Death Note.
• He takes sadistic pleasure in hijacking a bus and holding the driver at gunpoint, then demands all the profits from the Spaceland theme park, threatening to execute all the passengers if his demands aren't met. In the anime he continues to threaten to shoot random passengers just for showing fear of him.
  • While he was controlled by the Death Note into hijacking the bus, this doesn't absolve him as the Death Note can't make someone do something they wouldn't normally do, and Raye Penber, who was familiar with him, didn't consider his actions strange or out-of-character, making it clear he would likely have done this on his own. He also goes well beyond what Light specified by gleefully threatening to shoot all the passengers.
• He's revealed to be a coward as he freaks out when he sees Ryuk and empties his gun trying to kill him, then runs away and pathetically begs to be let off the bus, only to be hit by a car.
