What Makes Him A Hate Sink?

• While King Lathas appears to be a benevolent king at first, it is revealed in Regicide that he is actually a villain.
• While he kills Iban (who is insane and murderous), this is purely out of pragmatism, as he is trying to secure a path to the elf lands through the Underground Pass.
• He manipulates the player into murdering his own brother by making them believe that King Tyras was evil.
• He conspires with Lord Iorwerth to overthrow the kingdom of Camelot.
• Along with Lord Iorwerth, he sets up a fake plague in West Ardougne to enslave its residents under the guise of quarantining them so that they can locate the Temple of Light.
• He agrees with Lord Iorwerth's plan to kill the residents of West Ardougne when the Temple of Light is sealed off.
• When the citizens of Ardougne find out about his plans, they decide to rebel against him and overthrow him from the throne. In Old School Runescape, this ends with him being hanged. (In normal Runescape, the player has the option to exile or execute him, though the Dark Lord will consume his soul regardless of the option chosen.)
