The King and Queen of The Crown are the overarching antagonists of the 2022 animated film, The Sea Beast. They are the unscrupulous rulers of Three Bridges who commission any sailor to kill the monsters that inhabit the seas in order to secretly expand their empire.

The King was voiced by Jim Carter and the Queen was voiced by Doon Mackichan.

What Makes them Despicable?[]

  • They spread propaganda about the Sea Beasts being dangerous, which starts a genocide against them.
  • Their motive on doing the latter is mostly so they can stay in power to expand their kingdom.
  • They were not impressed when Captain Crow returned a trophy of the Brickleback to them, due to them wanting Crow to kill the Red Bluster.
  • Had threatened to scrap the Inevitable to replace it with the Imperator, which is manned by Admiral Hornagold if Crow doesn't kill the Red Bluster before Hornagold.
  • Tried to order their men to kill Maisie Brumble, after she revealed the truth about the propaganda. Luckily, their men refused to fire.
  • It is implied that their marriage for each other is arranged, hence why they don't show love for each other.
  • They're shown to be cowards, as after they've been exposed, they tried to run away. It is unknown whether they escaped or not.
  • Despite their lack of screen time, they really show us what they're about.
