Kotoko Utsugi's father or Mr. Utsugi is one of the antagonists of a Danganronpa fanfic, Danganronpa: Goodbye Innocence and it's third sequel, Danganronpa: The End of Despair, serving as a minor antagonist.
He is Kotoko Utsugi's perverted and paranoid father who sold her and his wife to pimps for his show in order to make money, thus causing his daughter to become traumatized and a serial killer.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Unlike most Danganronpa villains in the story who have likable qualities, he has none of those for being a perverted father.
- Before the events of the story, when realizing her daughter was very talented for acting roles. He decided to sell her and his wife to a group pimps of the show that had sex with them in exchange of money and forced her to stay in many roles thus causing her to be traumatized and a serial killer.
- Although he was paranoid that fact he sold his daughter to pimps, however he refused to take responsibility for it and blamed her for it.
- He had no care for his wife and cheated on her several times, as her daughter mentioned, "He liked her more than my mom".
- He faked his own death to escape all of his actions and made her daughter believed she killed him.
- Upon seeing the police in front of his apartment, he cowardly attempted to run away from them to escape his actions once more.
- When being interrogated by Uno, he mockingly laughs upon hearing his daughter being traumatized for all he's done and told he doesn't regret for what's done. This lead to Uno killing him by shooting him several times and throwing him out the window.
- While his death may seem brutal, however it's not played for sympathy and he deserved it for all the actions he done.
- Unlike his mainstream counterpart, who’s a Karma Houdini, this version of the father killed in a satisfying way.
