Lanzhu Zhong is the antagonist of Season 2 of LoveLive! School Idol Festival: All Stars (LLAS or SIFAS). Note the article only focus her personality on LLAS, while she is a likable character in the anime series while rewrited.
What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- While being the principal's daughter, she forced her childhood sweetheart, Mifune Shioriko, joining Nijigasaki School Idol Association.
- As a result, Shioriko had the school idol club's office once again shut down, sending guards to interrupt any live activities held by them, even outside the school!
- She banned the idol club, forcing Ai,Karin (and Shizuku almost) joining the Association, which could be considered as an act of betrayal.
- She is manipulative to her composer, Mia Taylor, forcing her keep write songs for their live show. She even managed to broke into her dorm once.
- Though she had apologized for her hostile before, the protagonist hadn't really aware it was an apology.
- While being a gifted diva, her rude character had nearly destroyed her popularity. Thanks to the anime and four strip comics, now she is much likable than those old days.
Notes & Trivia[]
- Barring some other characters such as Maki Nishikino's father and Ren Hazuki's father, Lanzhu is so far the only School Idol character in the whole Love Live! franchise to be a subject of Hate Sink.
- Depending on the individual fanbase:
- Her actions in the game also made some fans deem her as a Near/Pure Evil, at least to an extent.
- Her reputation as a Hate Sink ultimately extends to her anime counterpart, as they were unable to live down to her actions in the game.
