~ Lola admitting to causing a violent fight between the Preps and the Greasers while proudly comparing herself to Helen of Troy. |
Lola Lombardi is a major antagonist in the 2006 game by Rockstar Games, Bully, serving as one of the major antagonists in Chapter 3 (alongside Johnny Vincent).
She is the ex-girlfriend of Johnny Vincent and the female member of the Greasers clique who has a reputation in Bullworth Academy for trying to seduce many other male students' attention for her personal gain, all while she's dating Johnny.
Eventually, her actions in the third chapter all culminate in an all-out brawl between the Preppies and the Greasers that turns into a full-on riot with police involved.
What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- Even before Jimmy arrives at Bullworth Academy, Lola already has a reputation for being the biggest whore at Bullworth Academy. Even Gary Smith, the main antagonist and a fellow Hate Sink (who was voted for the Most Hated Character of January 2023 in the H.S wiki), called her a whore. Despite the fact that she is dating Johnny Vincent, she still tried to seduce many other male students with her looks to manipulate them into doing stuff for her, such as getting Preppies to buy things for her and Nerds to do her homework.
- When she cheats on Johnny once again with Gord from the Preppies clique (the Greasers' rival faction) in the mission "Jealous Johnny," Johnny would hire Jimmy to follow her and take pictures of her going out with Gord under suspicion that she’s once again cheating on him. When Jimmy gave Johnny the evidence that this was the case, Johnny became furious. This would lead up to the next mission, "Bait," where Johnny asks Jimmy to bait Gord to the BMX park so that Johnny and the Greasers would beat him up. Jimmy succeeds, and the Greasers will continue to harass Gord, leading up to the mission "Tagging," where Derby, the leader of the Preppies, asks Jimmy to spray paint at the Greasers' turf as revenge for harassing Gord.
- In the mission "Wrong Part of Town," Lola has seduced Algie from the Nerds clique in order for him to help her with her homework, resulting in the latter being the target of Johnny's wrath. Later, when Jimmy finds Algie outside an alley, Lola can be seen inside the alley, trying to get Chad from the Preppies clique to spend $100 on her. When Chad is reluctant, saying he has to steal money from his dad, Lola dumps him on the spot, claiming she isn't a "cheap slut." She also fat-shamed Algie when the latter tried to talk to her.
- In the mission "Lola's Race," she tries to assure Johnny that she loves him and that she's not cheating on him, but Johnny knows she's lying. It's also revealed that Lola gets aroused when Johnny's angry, which is probably the reason why she keeps cheating on him with multiple boys.
- In that same mission, she plays with Johnny's emotions in order to get him to race Jimmy, and when Jimmy wins the race, Lola makes out with Jimmy near Johnny and the other Greasers for them to hear.
- In the mission "The Tenements," when Jimmy asks Lola if she has caused enough trouble, she attempts to play the victim card by attempting to make herself look like a "nice girl" who has been "bullied and hated by everyone," which is not even true at all. At this point, Johnny and the Greasers are sick of her and turn on her, so she has Jimmy get her stuff back from the Greasers' hangout place, forcing Jimmy to deal with the Greasers, including Norton, who was wielding a sledgehammer, which could possibly critically injure Jimmy.
- In the mission "The Rumble," Lola instigated a fight between the Preppies and the Greasers that eventually had civilians hide in horror. The police became involved and started arresting them all because it amused her. When Jimmy defeats Johnny and Johnny says that he can keep Lola, Jimmy says that he doesn't want Lola, showing that even he is annoyed by Lola's behavior and would break off with her.
- In that same mission, Lola proudly compares herself to Helen of Troy because both the Preppies and the Greasers are fighting over her, which is not a good comparison as the two are completely opposites to each other. Unlike Lola, Helen was a choiceless victim who was deeply upset about the situation she was in. Lola, on the other hand, is proud of the discord and was directly responsible for the fight between the Greasers and Preppies by flirting with both sides for personal gain and making her think she's above the Greasers.
- In the Chapter 5 mission "Finding Johnny Vincent," it's revealed that after the third chapter, Lola broke up with Johnny, causing Johnny to go crazy, and he ends up in the asylum. Lola on this mission was at her most manipulative, swinging between anger and tears and flirting so rapidly that it became clear that none of it was sincere, all while being unwilling or unable to give Jimmy any useful information. She also never takes responsibility for her actions, even as Johnny winds up in the asylum for his anger towards Lola for her many infidelities.
- Compared to the other female characters that Jimmy could have a relationship with, including the cheer captain Mandy from the Jock clique and the peppy girl Pinky all who are given moments that shows there's more to them than their initial characterization suggests (In Mandy's case, she's insecure and is implied to have an eating disorder while Pinky is considered the most kindhearted member of the Preppies as she believes in charity and donating to the poor) Lola's characterization on the other hand really doesn't change that much, and she remains to be a "self-absorbed, manipulative tramp" that even after winning her affection, Jimmy can barely stand her, and none of the Greasers, sans Johnny, are particularly fond of her either.
- Overall, she's a manipulative, attention-seeking, and promiscuous woman who takes advantage of every guy around her, including Jimmy, behind her boyfriend's back in order to purposely piss him off, and for personal gain, her actions have kicked off the events of Chapter 3, cause a huge fight that has police involved, is the reason her ex-boyfriend goes insane and ends up in the asylum, and is disliked by mostly everyone in the school, including Jimmy and the Greasers (the clique she's a part of), who think she's a bad influence on Johnny. She is considered one of the most unlikable characters in the game so far, right next to another fellow Hate Sink and the main antagonist, Gary Smith.
