Arktivus Brevon, better known simply as Lord Brevon, is the main antagonist of the 2014 indie video game Freedom Planet and the overarching antagonist of its sequel Freedom Planet 2. He is the arch-nemesis of both Sash Lilac, Milla Basset and Torque.

He is an intergalactic warlord who crash-lands on the planet Avalice after an intense battle. His goal is to steal the Kingdom Stone, the sole source of energy of the planet Avalice, rebuild his spaceship and continue his dream of galactic conquest.

He was voiced by Alexander Barigga.

What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]

  • Starting off, he kills the King of Shuigang in front of his son Prince Dail. If that wasn’t bad enough either, he commands Syntax to painfully brainwash him, turning Prince Dail into Brevon’s slave.
  • Also, he makes Prince Dail activate the Sky Battalion, which probably lead to cities, if not countries being killed.
  • At about halfway through the middle of the game, he kidnaps Lilac and cuts her tendrils off to the point where one of the tendrils have a tip of blood on them.
  • He then attempts to break Lilac’s spirit, which horribly ends up backfiring on him.
  • When Torque wakes up, Brevon interrogates him by telling him how many Spectrum Chasers are left in the galaxy, and whether if Torque is right or not, Brevon painfully tortures Lilac via electrocution.
  • He also attempts to start a war between the three Avalician Nations (Shang Tu, Shang Mu and Shuigang), which ended up backfiring on him due to Lilac disarming an argument from the Nations’ Military.
  • He attempts to kill Lilac and her team, by opening air ducts, using heavy energy blasts and hostile robots.
  • In Lilac and Carol’s story, Brevon threatens to slit Milla’s neck open, leading to Lilac/Carol taking the Dreadnought Shutdown Device out of the command table. However, Brevon mutates Milla, forcing Lilac/Carol and Milla to fight, which nearly leads to Milla getting killed, with Lilac being rightfully enraged, considering Milla is literally 10 years old.
    • In Dreadnought 2 Earlier, he did mutate his right-hand Serpentine into a huge monster. Unlike Milla's case, Serpentine still holds an undying loyalty to Lord Brevon despite being abused.
  • In Milla’s story, Brevon launches an ambush attack on Carol, with the aftermath being Torque performing CPR on Carol.
  • In the final level of the game right before his boss fight begins, Brevon says that he has no use for forgiveness, blatantly revealing that he’s Pure Evil.
  • In Milla’s story (again), Brevon threatens to kill Milla after she defeats him, but Lilac saves Milla just in time to deal one final blow to Brevon.
  • Unfortunately, however, despite Lilac beat the crap out of Lord Brevon in final boss fight, he literally manages to escape the crashing Dreadnought.
  • Although his absence is immediately noticeable in Freedom Planet 2, his impact on Avalice lasted for 3 years, with Syntax and Serpentine trying to return to him.
  • While Merga is tragic due to being a survivor of the Water Dragon Genocide by Earth Dragons, she has a redeeming quality that she spent years isolated, leading her to believe Cordelia, the only Earth Dragon friend, have died. Lord Brevon, on the other hand, doesn't have any single redeeming quality as he's ruthlessly sadistic.
