Ludd: Your brother Ethan called me craven. But you're a different man entirely, aren't you? So, if you want Ryon at that funeral, show Lady Elaena you respect your betters. Kneel, and kiss my shiny ring. You don't want to end up like your brother, do you? Go on. Get on your knees. Kiss it.
Rodrik: I'm not kissing your ring. Do what you must.
Ludd: Fine. I'll just tell Ryon you didn't want to see him.
~ Ludd to Lord Rodrik Forrester (determinant).
I underestimated you, cripple...but it won't do you any good. My soldiers are already tearing down your gates. They'll kill your mother, your sisters. And Ryon, Gryff's cut his throat by now. Well, what are you waiting for? Kill me and be done with it...unless you're too cowardly to do it yourself.
~ Ludd's last words to Lord Rodrik Forrester (determinant).

Lord Ludd Whitehill is the main antagonist in Telltale's Game of Thrones. He looks for any reason to start a war with House Forrester so he can bring it to destruction and get his perceived "justice". He is also the archenemy of Rodrik Forrester.

He was voiced by Geoff Leesley.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

  • He's a grade-A jerkass with numerous "kick the dog" moments. For instance:
    • Offering his supposed sympathies to Ethan for Lord Gregor's death at the Red Wedding, only to then convey his wish of being there to kill Gregor himself.
    • Demanding justice for Gared killing his men, while also dismissing Britt murdering Gared's family, saying House Forrester lost pig farmers and not soldiers.
    • After Ramsay kills Ethan, Ludd tells Talia and Elissa they brought it on themselves.
    • If Rodrik doesn't kiss his ring, Ludd will later tell Ryon (held hostage at Highpoint) that his own family doesn't want to see him for Gregor and Ethan's funeral.
  • Adding on to said jerkassery, Ludd is also a big fat hypocrite:
    • Practically all of his interactions with Ethan, Rodrik and Asher are just him taunting, insulting them and swearing at the top of his lungs like a wounded boar, gloating that he's got more power over them than vice-versa, but whenever someone cusses or talks back to him in any way, he gets angry.
    • He also blames House Forrester for being "greedy" with the Ironwood Groves despite House Whitehill squandering their own forests centuries ago since they know nothing about cultivation (hence the house's entire name and sigil as Ramsay points out), and Ludd even goes out of his way to take control of the Forresters' entire forest despite Ramsay explicitly ordering they only take half.
  • He kidnaps the child Ryon to cow House Forrester into submission, threatening to murder him if they give his men any trouble. He even orders Gryff to cut Ryon's legs off to make sure he can't escape (if Rodrik is still alive in Episode 6).
  • He tries to forcefully marry Elaena to Gryff, threatening to kill the former's entire family along with House Forrester if she doesn't submit.
  • If Asher dies saving Rodrik, Ludd desecrates the former's corpse by feeding his decapitated body to the dogs while also putting his head on a pike, even forcing Ryon to hold it up for Rodrik to see.
  • He orders his army to raze Ironrath, killing countless smallfolk, soldiers, Lady Elissa, and possibly Lord Forrester's sentinel.
  • Because of his overall repulsiveness, his (determinant) death at the hands of Rodrik is played purely for satisfaction. It's more sad if Asher poisons Ludd instead, but that's only on Elissa's behalf since she's sacrificing herself to kill him.
