Luther is the main antagonist of the 1991 indie film, Straight Out of Brooklyn. He is the head of a large crime fmily situated in Brooklyn, having major influence within Red Hook. He is also the boss of Saladene and James.
He was portrayed by Ali Shahid Abdul Wahhab.
What Makes Him Hateable?[]
- He is a womanizer that treats women as objects he can flirt with.
- Is terribly abusive boss to Saladene, intimidating him and even assaulting him, threatening him with death multiple times that you my even feel a bit sorry for Saladene.
- Refused to take Saladene's reason of being robbed by Dennis Brown as an excuse for not giving Luther his money, threatening to mutilate him and send all his body parts back to Kingston.
- Ends the entire film in a dark note by murdering Ray in cold blood solely because he was Dennis' father, despite nothing stating he had any involvment with Dennis robbing Saladene.
- Gets no commeupance for any of his actions.
- Has no redeeming qualities at all and is played 100% seriously.
