Mack McCro is the main antagonist of Disney's 1997 animated film The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, the second installment in the Brave Little Toaster franchise.
He was voiced by Jay Mohr.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He is very resentful of his boss, Rob, because the latter is more successful than him, is graduating from college a year early, and has a beautiful girlfriend in the form of Chris, which makes him ungrateful, as Rob employs him as his assistant despite his poor performance.
- He makes unwanted advances towards Chris, with him fantasizing about kissing her, and later insisting that he likes a sassy lady. When she ignores this, he says that if they had a lunch date, he would not forget. This is right in front of Rob, and even after Chris has made it very clear she dislikes him, showing he is sexist and disrespectful towards them both.
- While Rob has fully devoted himself to helping animals and takes his job seriously, the same cannot be said for Mack, who seems to have taken the job because Rob is willing to put up with him for the moment, and because he really needs the money due to having massive gambling debts to pay off. This is supported by the many times where he taunts the animals that Rob has been taking care of and how he never actually does the job that he was hired to do.
- In a pinch, he plots to sell the animals to a testing lab called Tartarus Laboratories behind Rob's back without a shred of guilt and takes great pleasure in doing so. What makes this even worse is that animals that he intends to do this to are already injured and are the ones that he was meant to help Rob take care of, not to mention that Tartarus Laboratories previously maimed the arm of one of them, a monkey named Sebastian.
- At one point, he says to himself, "I'm so bad!", with a wicked grin and snicker, showing that he is fully aware of how horrible he is and that he enjoys it.
