Madame Gasket is the overarching antagonist of Blue Sky's 2nd animated feature film Robots.
She is the tyrannical ruler of the Chop Shop who has her son, Phineas T. Ratchet, take over Bigweld Industries and wipe outmodes from existence to turn them into upgrades to gain sufficient amounts of cash and empowerment over the population of Robot City. She is also Mr. Bigweld's archenemy.
She was voiced by Jim Broadbent, who also voiced Frank Butterman in Hot Fuzz.
What makes her a Hate Sink?[]
- Unlike her film counterpart, she doesn’t care about her son Ratchet.
- Though she gave Ratchet a a picture of her smiling for work, the novel treats it as a reminder of who the real one in charge is of the plan with it noting the picture is to be staring at Ratchet every day.
- She abuses Ratchet so that he only obeys her out of fear.
- She lacks any evil is cool and comedic moments.
- She only sees Ratchet as an extension of herself.
- Her death of being thrown into her own furnace is well deserved.
