Makino (formerly known as Mike Nickelson) is a major antagonist in the original Max Steel franchise. He was a reporter who after an accident became a cyborg with the power to control technology.
He was voiced by Scott McNeil.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- Even before becoming Makino, Mike Nickelson was a deeply arrogant and egotistical man that believed himself to be the protagonist of everything, seeking fame at all cost while having no regard for others.
- When debris from the toxic storm fused him with the N-Tek equipment he stole, Mike blamed N-Tek for his condition despite having stolen the equipment from an unconscious man and being the one who wanted to report the storm for fame.
- The lengths he was willing to go to slander N-Tek and get revenge on Max Steel for something that was entirely his own fault makes him very petty and delusional.
- During the course of his plan to discredit Max Steel, Makino causes mass destruction and shows no concern about all the people he endangeres.
- Is extremly prone to anger if mocked, proven how he attacked Toxzon on their cell for simply mocking him.
- Even when teaming up with Toxzon, Makino betrayed him two times, with the latter affecting his plans.
