Mark Jefferson is the main antagonist of Life Is Strange. While seeming like a genuinely cool teacher, Jefferson is, in actually, a sadistic misogynist who drugs and kidnaps teenage girls.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?

• Takes photos of teenage girls losing their innocence after torturing (and possibly raping and then murdering) them.
• Mark takes advantage of Nathan's need for a father figure and mental issues to obtain these photos of teenage girls losing their innocence.
• Displayed satisfaction at mentally torturing Kate and, if she didn't commit suicide, threatened to drug her again.
• Gaslights Kate into committing suicide. How successful this is depends on if Max is able to stop her or not.
• At the end of chapter 4, he kidnaps Max and kills Chloe, displaying no remorse for doing so.
• Uses Nathan as a scapegoat for his crimes after killing him offscreen.
• If Max warns Victoria about the dark room at the end of Chapter 4, Mark kills her.
• No matter how many times Max rewinds time to save David, Mark kills him each time as he tries to rescue Max.
