Mark the Tapir is a character from the Sonic the Hedgehog TV Series Sonic Boom, appearing in the episode "The Biggest Fan". He is an anthropomorphic tapir that is the fanatical, self-proclaimed "number one fan" of Sonic the Hedgehog.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

  • He is rude and aggressive towards anyone for the sole purpose of pleasing Sonic.
  • He stalks and makes Sonic happy because he is obsessed with him to the point of keeping him hostage just to have him in his house.
  • Despite claiming to be Sonic's biggest fan, he shows he doesn't know a whole lot about him, like when reenacting his fanfiction. (i.e., portraying Sonic's abrasive quote "Quiet, Tails!" to a harsh extent).
  • He injured Sonic by crashing him into a boulder just so he could take the hedgehog for himself while he was hurt, which was just cruel. He eventually took the rest of his friends hostage as well when they stumbled upon one of his traps.
  • He took some Gogobas on a walking tour around Tails' property without his permission, meaning he was trespassing.
    • He also took the time to make fun of Amy for wearing a flea collar.
