Martin "Marty" Wolf is the main antagonist of the 2002 comedy Big Fat Liar.
He is an arrogant, greedy, mean and unscrupulous Hollywood producer who is a massive jerk to all his employees, and the archenemy of the protagonist, Jason Shepherd. When he steals Jason's essay for his next film, and won't give him credit or admit he stole it, Wolf is then faced with several indecencies as Jason tries to squeeze the truth out of him.
He was portrayed by Paul Giamatti.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- He chooses to lie his way through life.
- He’s abusive towards his employees.
- While he was decent enough to offer Shepherd a ride home after he accidentally hit him with his limo, this kindness did not last.
- He steals Jason's English paper to make it into his new movie.
- When Jason comes to Hollywood to confront Wolf, he burns his English paper.
- When Jason makes a deal with Wolf (to confess stealing his paper in exchange for helping Big Fat Liar) be greenlit, he decides to renege on the deal.
