| ~ Metamorpho |
Rex Mason, also known as Metamorpho, is a minor antagonist in the Injustice: Gods Among Us prequel comics.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
In General[]
- Unlike his good-hearted mainstream universe counterpart, this alternate universe version of Metamorpho, is a heartless and ruthless, fallen hero, who sheds most of his redeeming qualities throughout the story.
Background[]
- He willingly joins Superman's One Earth Regime, not to save lives like its delusional leader, Superman, but to do harm to others.
- This was something that any of his heroic universe counterparts would never even think about doing.
Injustice[]
- He became the warden of a prison very deep under the ocean, so that any supervillain or any superhero would escape it still alive.
- He is an absolutely horrendous and utterly tyrannical warden who runs the prison with an iron fist, not caring at all about the inmates' well-being and treating them like complete garbage.
- When he finds his former ally and friend, Plastic Man, in the underwater prison, he unhesitatingly and remorselessly demands that Plastic Man turn himself in to the One Earth Regime, showing us that he no longer cares for his former friends.
- When he found Deathstroke at the Regime base, he immediately attempted to murder him.
Trivia[]
- He is along with Clayface, Victor Zsasz, and Solovar in Injustice franchise Hate Sink.
- He's the only version of Metamorpho to qualify as a Hate Sink as other versions are too heroic and/or sympathetic.
