| “ | Starting tomorrow, you girls are not gonna be on the air no more! | „ |
| ~ Mike Brikowski swearing vengeance to the Powerpuff Girls for "making him look bad" in the news. |
Officer Michael "Mike" Brikowski, also simply known as Brikowski, is the main antagonist of The Powerpuff Girls episode "Cop Out".
He is a former police officer from the Townsville Police Departmant who, instead of doing his job, is busy living off the perks of being one, where it includes eating doughnuts. He also deeply hates the Powerpuff Girls to a petty degree, hypocritically believing that the trio were making policemen like him, as he puts it, "look like bums" while they're on their duties.
He was voiced by Jeff Bennett, who also voiced Dick Hardly and Major Man in the same series, the Huntsman in American Dragon: Jake Long and Bendy in Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends.
What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]
- He represents everything a law enforcer shouldn't be.
- He’s lazy and doesn’t do his job,
- It’s implied that he joined the force simply for donuts not caring for the people.
- He doesn’t lift a finger during an armed robbery, putting his partner in danger.
- It’s implied that he is a shoplifter due to all of his possessions still have price tags on them. Or it could mean he bought them legally but didn't bother removing the tags because he was too lazy to. Given his horrible habits during his time as a cop, the latter theory seems more likely. Though his TV was labeled as evidence, with the clear instructions “Do Not Remove” on it, implying that he at least stole that.
- Ironically, for a police officer, he has all of the Seven Deadly Sins to him:
- Sloth: Throughout his career as a police officer, he does nothing but to just relax during a crime scene. This is what led to his downfall as a policeman.
- Gluttony: He has a very bad habit of eating doughnuts, even during moments when crime happens.
- Pride: Despite his incompetence, he believes that he deserves praise, especially from his fellow cops (which, in reality, is the opposite of how they feel).
- Envy: He's genuinely jealous about the respect the Powerpuff Girls get, thinking that they make police officers like him "look like bums" (even though he's evidently just using that as an excuse to hide his jealousy).
- Wrath: Whenever the Powerpuff Girls are present to fight crime, he gets furious about it. Once he got fired, his temper eventually got lost further.
- Greed: He wants to be rewarded by others, as evidenced by his eagerness for promotion, even though he's very VERY slothful.
- Lust: Gets turned on by the doughnuts he munches on.
- Before he gets fired, he seems completely unaware that his fellow officers absolutely HATE him, Even when the chief tells him he’s fired, Brickowski completely thinks he’s joking at first.
- After he inevitably gets fired, he refuses to blame himself, instead blaming the Powerpuff Girls despite them doing nothing wrong. He believes that he was fired because his boss decided to downsize him now that the Powerpuff Girls were helping the police catch criminals and breaks the picture of his boss with the Powerpuff Girls on a wall in a fit of rage before leaving which is vandalism before deciding to murder the Powerpuffs, to put it simply, he attempted to commit child murder over a punishment he very much deserved.
- He tries to dunk the Powerpuff Girls into a pool of acid to kill them showing he has no problem hurting children, though it fails miserably when he gets arrested (thanks in part to Perez ratting on him from outside) and the girls are revealed to be immune to acid, but it still hurt them and left small bruises.
- He didn't think at all if his plan succeeded, Townsville would have nobody to protect it (and by extension him) from all the monsters and supervillains that attack.
- As Blossom puts it, he's not a good cop gone bad, but "a bad cop gone worse," and she isn't wrong about that one bit.
