Mr. Winkie is the main antagonist of Wind of the Willows, appearing at the first half of "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad".

He is the bar owner who told the court a lie that Toad tried to sell him a stolen motor car, in which resulted in Toad being unrightfully imprisoned for a crime he did not commit.

He was voiced by the late Oliver Wallace, who also wrote the score for this film.

What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]

He may appear affable at first. However, it would be shown that it is all just a facade to get richer so he could plan to steal Toad Hall.
His deal that he didn't keep with Toad was Toad would get the motor car, and he would get Toad Hall most likely to get power.
He lied about Toad trying to sell him a stolen motor car, which resulted in Toad being imprisoned and depressed for twenty years. Even Cyril Proudbottom rightfully calls him a "monkey-faced rumpot", which most likely means "big fat liar", which is exactly what he is for lying in court.
He's a bad boss to the weasels, since it is shown that he is abusive towards them.
When Toad and his friends tried to steal the deed back he and his weasels attempted to kill them.
He attempted to cut Moley's head off.
It's implied that he got arrested for his lies, meaning that he got karma for his actions.
