What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- She twists faith into a weapon, claiming divine authority to justify horrific actions, making her ideology oppressive and terrifying.
- She exploits fear and uncertainty in others to gain control, turning a trapped group against each other.
- Mrs. Carmody encourages brutal, lethal punishments—including murder—against those she deems sinful.
- She ruthlessly condemns anyone who disagrees with her, branding dissenters as “sinners” or unworthy.
- She fully believes she is morally superior, which amplifies her cruelty and makes her actions feel inescapable.
- She thrives on creating panic and paranoia, exploiting the group’s fear for her own influence.
- Her single-minded obsession with “pleasing God” leads to increasingly irrational and deadly decisions.
