~ Mistress Mugan imprisoning Tigress
|
Mistress Mugan is a minor antagonist in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, appearing as the main antagonist of the season 2 episode 18, "A Tigress Tale".
She was voiced by April Winchell, who also voiced The Matchmaker in Mulan 2.
What Makes Her A Hate Sink?[]
- She is very rude to and dismissive of Po despite him being the Dragon Warrior who defeated Tai Lung. While Po is rather silly, she is still quite disrespectful of him despite his feats.
- She is very hard on Tigress. No matter how good Tigress is in her training, she is never able to earn Mugan's approval.
- It is revealed that she has ruined the lives of numerous Kung Fu students by pushing them to work harder and harder until their bodies break from the stress and they are unable to ever perform Kung Fu again, eventually being reduced to crippled servants of Mugan, forced to work for her and watch her continue to break other students.
- When Tigress realizes she made a mistake in choosing to let Mugan take her in as a student and asks to return to the Jade Palace, Mugan locks her inside her room, declaring that she will push Tigress to work until she breaks her. This also heavily implies that Mugan is really just a sadist who likes breaking her students and ruining their lives, and just uses the training as an excuse to push them to train until their bodies break down.
- When Po asks to see Tigress, Mugan lies that Tigress wants nothing to do with him and orders him to go away.
- She attacks Po and Tigress when the former tries to rescue the latter.
- Her defeat is brought about by her former student, Wu Yong, giving Po the idea to knock down all the pillars containing her jars of water, which is meant to be seen as karmic due to him finally getting back at her for crippling him and forcing him to be her servant.
- Overall, she is rude, dismissive, sadistically breaks her students, has no remorse for crippling her many students and ruining their lives, and gets no moments of sympathy.
