Nezumi is a secondary antagonist of the Arlong Park Arc from the anime and manga series, One Piece.
He is a corrupt Marine Captain.
What makes him Hate Sink?[]
- He is a corrupt Marine as revealed that every month he accepted Arlong's bribery in exchange that he will not report any of Arlong's criminal activity and ignore the suffering of Nami's home island.
- He was informed by Arlong of Nami's hidden treasure that he and his force go to Nami's home to find it as well as continuing to make Nami's hometown suffer more.
- He also injured Nami's adopted sister, Nojiko, when she and Genzo, who already knew Nami's intent of stealing all the money to buy back her hometown for their freedom from the Arlong Pirates, tried to stop him from taking Nami's treasure.
- This actions would cause the villagers to cause an uproar against Arlong Pirates that Nami tried stop them as she sees it as a suicide.
- It also brought Nami in complete despair that she stabbed herself on the tattooed arm of Arlong Pirates.
- After the Straw Hat Pirates defeated the Arlong Pirates, Nezumi came to the battlefield and declared that he will take all of Arlong's wealth in an arrogant manner. Also it does show, he hates Fish-men.
- However, Zoro, who was heavily injured from his previous battles, manages to injury Nezumi and his Marine force.
- It also shows that Nezumi is a coward and a weakling that he mainly used his soldiers rather than his own skills and strength.
- Nami also beats him up as she made few demands are to clean up all of the damage of her hometown and return all the stolen loot back to her as Nezumi has no choice but to agree as the people of Nami's home village rejoiced at Nezumi's defeat especially Nojiko and Genzo.
- He reported to the higher-ups about Straw Hat Pirates' victory against Arlong Pirates, so that he can make sure that Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates will be branded as a wanted criminal out of spite for his humiliating defeat though Luffy actually takes pride with his first bounty and the photo is not menacing.

- In the later series, there is another character, Ratel, who is similar in appearance, with rodent-like face, and personality with his corrupt nature as a Marine.
