Norman F. "Norm" Snively is the main antagonist of the 1997 film Air Bud. He is an alcoholic clown known by his nickname "Happy Slappy" who is abusive to Buddy.

He was portrayed by the late Michael Jeter.

What Makes Him A Hate Sink?[]

He is an alcoholic clown who abused Buddy constantly, whom he blames for his own mishaps due to his ineptitude as a party clown, and it is shown Buddy buries newspapers because Norman beat him up with it.
He locked Buddy in a kennel after causing trouble at a birthday party even though it was Snively's own fault for using a ball that was too big for Buddy's mouth and was going to take him to the dog pound when the kennel fell off the truck.
Tricked Josh's mom and steals Buddy.
When it is decided Buddy will choose his rightful owner, during the calling, Snively takes out his roll of newspaper, which he often used to hit Buddy, and snaps at him.
He lacks any redeeming or sympathetic qualities and has no excuse for his actions.
