Odalia Blight is the secondary antagonist of MoringMark's The Owl House webcomics.
She is the CEO of Blight Industries and the abusive and neglectful mother of Amity Blight.
What Makes Her a Hate Sink?[]
- While the earlier comics presented her as an occasionally sympathetic villain with a traumatic backstory and redeeming qualities, she shredded most of attributes in the later comics.
- Shows absolutely no care towards her family and only sees them as an extension of herself.
- Was extremely neglectful to Amity during her childhood, denying her any affection and having Adel take care of her,
- In "Mom," it's implied that she physically beat Amity at least once.
- Pushed Amity away from Willow and tried to mold her into a villain like her. Not only did this turn Amity into a bully, but in "The Real Amity," it's show than Amity regretted her past actions so much that it affected her mental health.
- While she has many comedic moments, they're all either black comedy or focus on her cathartic suffering.
- In "A Forced Breakup," she emotionally guilted Luz into breaking up with Amity just because she didn't want Amity dating a poor person.
- After Blight Industries was shut down, she became a con artist.
- In, "It's Urgent," when she was attacked by her clients, even her own daughter didn't care and instead reveled in her misery.
- Overall, she's an egotistical, self-serving, abusive monster who treats her own family like garbage and caused Amity extreme emotional damage.

- Fittingly, MoringMark actually made a comic titled "Hate Sink," which acknowledges Odalia's status as the most detestable character in the series by portraying Odalia’s actor as proud of having been able to portray her as such.
