Offengun: The Higher Powers want to clear the Equestrian chessboard of all the extra pieces that are lying around on it.

Lincoln: I will never accept the power of those who defile the minds of the innocent population of Equestria with their vile and selfish ideology!
Offengun: All these races of Equestria, coexisting side by side with other, alien races....This violates the natural harmony of all of Equestria. The Higher Powers do not like this. And understand one elementary thing in this situation, Lincoln. You were recognized as an Equestrian and made the Guardian of Harmony only so that you would do what you are told.

~ Conversation Offengun's conversation with Lincoln after he captured him and brought him to his base inside Zephyr Heights.
You decided to save the destroyer of Equestria's natural harmony instead of saving yourself?! You are simply a disgrace to your now deceased friends!
~ Offengun to Lincoln
Offengun: You shouldn't have disrupted Equestria's natural harmony.

Sunny Starscout: You shouldn't have deprived me of my family.
Offengun: Sorry, but bad luck, Sunny Starscout. We all have families.
Sunny Starscout: I'll see mine again.
Offengun: Well, naturally... You will see her in the next world!

~ Offengun's last words to Sunny.

Offengun is one of the main antagonists of the My Little Pony: A New Generation Reaperverse.

He is a professional, yet ruthless and cruel mercenary, who was tasked by Queen Haven to remove all the Guardians of Harmony from the throne of Equestria in order to hand over the reins of power over the entire country to her. After successfully imprisoning almost all of the Guardians of Harmony (except Lincoln and Spike) in a suspended animation polymer, he subsequently, in secret from Lincoln and the population of Equestria, helped Queen Haven's secret task force eliminate all alien races, all Guardians, and all key plot characters remaining in Equestria.

What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]

  • His active phrases about the "natural harmony" of Equestria, when the three main races lived separately from each other, are a pure lie, which exceptionally angers any of the heroes to whom he says this, since behind his ostensible desire to believe Equestria and all its population in the original method of existence is nothing more than a selfish method to make Equestria such that he could rule it, being completely uninterested in the interests of its population, considering himself above them all and hating the ideology of harmony, which guided the Guardians of Harmony.
  • While he has, relatively speaking, saved Equestria many times from various minor threats, as Princess Celestia often hired him to eliminate various Fantastic Creatures located on Equestrian territory, it is worth noting that Offengun himself was not interested in saving Equestria, as his actions were carried out on Celestia's behalf, and his priority was only the reward for the completed orders, and not the lives of Equestrians saved by his actions.
  • During his numerous hunts before the founding of Equestria by the leaders of the three races, and before the events of My Little Pony: A New Generation, he has killed hundreds of different Equestrians, Guardians, Fantastic Beasts, and G4 storyline protagonists across Equestria and beyond, taking something from each of them that would serve as trophies for him, ultimately being the most bloodthirsty of all the villains in all of G5, having killed more G4 storyline protagonists than anyone else.
  • In order to establish his rule over Equestria, he allied himself with Queen Haven and personally participated in her campaign of extermination against all Guardians and plot-leading characters throughout Equestria.
    • It is worth considering that Offengun himself knew very well that Haven was ready to subject all three races of Equestria to propaganda of xenophobia, paranoia and mistrust in order to create a method of ruling all of Equestria that would be beneficial to her out of her thirst for power, but Offengun did not care, since he was satisfied with such actions from his regular customer, considering them as something useful for his own method of ruling Equestria.
  • He pretended to be close to the Guardians of Harmony for many years, after which he stabbed them (all but Lincoln and Spike) in the back, encasing them in anabiotic polymer, keeping them as his main trophies. And although he did not kill them, he did so only out of a pragmatic desire to keep them forever as his best trophies and as an example of his own success in eliminating the most dangerous enemies for his purposes.
    • His actions resulted in Equestria being subjected to xenophobic propaganda, paranoia, and mistrust from the three races towards each other for almost a hundred years, as well as all the magic of the three races being trapped in three crystals (the Pegasus Crystal went to Queen Haven, the Unicorn Crystal went to Alphabittle Blossomforth, and the Earth Pony Crystal went to Argyle Starshine), and Slenderman being forced to be under Haven's psychological pressure and follow her orders under threat of death for the still living Guardians of Harmony, including Lincoln.
  • He desecrated the Castle of Friendship by moving it inside Zephyr Heights, then commandeering it and turning it into his personal home, prison, and trophy storage facility, where he kept the bodies of the Guardians of Harmony in suspended animation for many years as his prized trophies.
  • He killed Argyle Starshine on the orders of Queen Haven when she deemed his role as the Earth Pony Crystal's guardian no longer needed.
    • He later transplanted his brain into a cybernetic warrior named Stringer, forcing him to fight Sunny against his will in the finale, only to kill him in cold blood when Argyle managed to gain control of his new body, leaving Sunny permanently traumatized.
  • He killed the Doom Slayer by cornering him while he was weakened and helpless by his attack that took away his arms and legs, and after which he brutally killed him, tearing out his head along with his spine, taking them for himself as a trophy.
  • In one of his conversations with Haven, he mentioned that he had inflicted a serious and very long-lasting wound on Spike by shooting him with a railgun while pursuing him and several other dragons on the borders of Equestria, killing several more dragons along the way who tried to protect Spike from Offengun, allowing Spike to escape.
    • In essence, these actions of his posthumously led to the fact that all the dragons in Equestria, even after the death of Offengun and Queen Haven, remained in a mode of complete secrecy from others, and Spike himself could not return to Lincoln and the New Guardians of Harmony to fight Opaline Arcana and her alliance of G4 villains, since Spike himself was still recovering from the wound received from Offengun, and gave orders to the dragons not to risk themselves and not to come into contact with others until he recovered.
  • He seriously injured Lincoln by pinning him to a wall with his own sword, then hypocritically condemned him for trying to save Sunny as a "disruptor to Equestria's natural harmony", calling him a disgrace to his friends, including the Guardians of Harmony.
  • He attempts to kill Sunny Starscout one last time, beating her nearly unconscious, and then taunting her by saying that he would not live to see his new family in the form of his friends again. During this, he sadistically downplays Sunny's tragedy regarding her father's death at his hands, saying, "Sorry, but bad luck, Sunny Starscout. We all have families," adding that she will see him in the afterlife, and nearly kills her, but she is saved by Lincoln, who finally kills Offengun, whose death turns out to be completely deserved and played out for satisfaction.
