The Officer and The Soldier are two secondary antagonists in the Diabolik Lovers series. Tasked with rooting out rebels, they shoot a mother and a child before finding Kou, eventually selling selling him to the orphanage, where he would suffer immense physical (and heavily implied sexual) abuse.

What makes them Hate Sinks?[]

Executed a woman after she begged to be spared. Rebel or not, this makes them war criminals.
- Afterwards, they kill her crying child, showing their sociopathy and disregard for human life.
When he finds Kou, the Soldier talks about executing him only for being "filthy" and "making my eyes bleed" demonstrating that he is a violent thug in uniform.
The Officer talks about Kou, another child, being a "gem in the rough" in a way that suggests he is a pedophile.
Before Kou is sent, the Officer sadistically laughs and mocks him about the abuse he would suffer in the orphanage.
Being responsible for Kou entering the orphanage, they caused the abuse that made him into the unstable and disturbed individual he is in the present.
Suffered no consequences for their actions, making them Karma Houdinis.
