Orlen is an anime only character in the Namek Saga of Dragon Ball Z. He is a soldier serving in Frieza's army.
What makes him a Hate Sink?[]
- He finds the Namekian village Vegeta attacked, complaining about the fact that the village was already destroyed before he got to it. This indicates that he would have wanted to attack the village and kill the Namekians all by himself, which is an indication of both sadism and foolishness, as it is extremely unlikely that he would have been able to kill all the Namekians by himself, given that three Namekian warriors were able to kill an entire wave of Frieza's soldiers.
- When he notices a single Namekian survivor, Orlen interrogates him about the destruction of the village. After learning it was Vegeta's doing, Orlen kills the injured Namekian begging him for help, calling him "worthless Namek trash". This showcases both how cruel and how stupid he is, as he kills the survivor without first asking where Vegeta might have hidden the Dragon Ball.
- When he gets back to Frieza, he very foolishly admits to the above, which enrages Frieza into cruelly, but well-deservingly killing him for eliminating the only potential witness.
- Overall, Orlen is both fairly evil and fairly stupid, being a sadistic, overconfident, racist thug who gets himself killed through his own stupidity. While he may not be particularly heinous by the standards of the series, he is one of the most "stupid evil" villains in it, and he shows absolutely no redeeming qualities.
