Pansy Parkinson is a supporting antagonist in the Harry Potter series. She is a student at Hogwarts, companion of Draco Malfoy and bully to many students in the school.

She was portrayed by Katherine Nicholson in Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, Genevieve Gaunt in Prisoner of Azkaban, Lauren Shotton in Order of the Phoenix and Scarlett Byrne in Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2.

What Makes Her a Hate Sink?

• She shows an extremely malicious personality, through bullying other students (including Harry Potter and his friends) out of sadism, prejudice and/or pettiness.
• She most likely believes in pure-blood supremacy, which is heavily implied when she seemed pleased at Blaise Zabini calling Ginny Weasley a "filthy little blood traitor". She is hinted to be racist in other ways as well, when teasing Angelina Johnson about her hair braids.
• She was also mean to Rubeus Hagrid and made insulting comments about him.
• She willingly helped enforce Dolores Umbridge's tyrannical rule on Hogwarts as a member of the Inquisitorial Squad.
• She is the only student willing to accept Lord Voldemort's ultimatum to surrender Harry to him.
  • She also suggests this idea in a rather cowardly manner, shaking her arm as she points to Harry.
  • It's worth noting that not even the rest of the Slytherin house agreed with her choice, which further highlights how despicable she truly is.
• She is never given any redeeming qualities or character depth, being consistently portrayed as a cruel, rude and detestable bully.

Trivia

• J.K. Rowling based Pansy Parkinson on every girl who teased her in school and has openly stated that she loathes her, which was also the reason why Pansy did not end up marrying Draco.
