King Periander of Corinth is a minor but significant antagonist in Netflix's animated series, Blood of Zeus. He is the tyrannical ruler of Corinth and is the former husband of Electra, mother of Seraphim and Heron. He attempted to kill Heron and his wife due to discovering that Heron was not his child but of Zeus. His relationship with Electra and his death would cause later events in the story.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- He's established as an infamous tyrant of Corinth and abuses his power over others.
- Periander mistreats his wife and constantly hits her for no reason. It got to that point where Electra became afraid of him and his harsh punishments.
- He views Electra as a trophy wife and shows no affection towards her.
- When Periander received a vision in his dreams it said that one of his children is not his. Because of this vision, his view on his wife became much worse and started to think that Electra was cheating on him.
- After Heron's birth and noticing his different-colored eyes, he immediately attempted to end Heron and Electra's life.
- Even when Zeus arrived to defend Electra, Periander tried to attack him and believed that the god had sex with his wife.
