Plunderboid is a minor antagonist of the My Little Pony Friendship is Magic Reaperverse of the "Princess Twilight Sparkle" duology of Season 4, the "The Beginning of the End" duology of Season 9, as well as a minor antagonist of the My Little Pony: Make Your Mark Reaperverse.
He was a former royal gardener under Princess Celestia who grew dangerous species of plants and sold them to various customers. In season 4, he, along with his partner Seed, planned to exterminate all races in Equestria, but were stopped by the Guardians of Harmony and imprisoned in Stimpengand prison. In Season 9, he escapes from Stimpengund with Seed and helps King Sombra and Shadow Freddy conquer Equestria. After their defeat, they were captured by "Tremors" organization. Over 100 years later, he joins Opaline Squad and helps her conquer Equestria.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
In General[]
- Despite the fact that he calls the Plunderseeds the ideal race to exist in Equestria, he nevertheless does not show the slightest hint of concern or sympathy for them, speaking about them in lofty terms only to make his enemies falsely think that that he has at least some standards.
- Although his relationship with Seed can be called the relationship of an ally with an ally, Plunderboid developed such a pattern of relations with Seed only so that he would obey him unquestioningly without any questions asked.
- He switches sides when it suits him in terms of the resources of the side he wants to join, obeying his masters and following their orders only in order to gain access to their resources to achieve his selfish goals, not caring about anyone except myself.
- His personality and actions were so monstrous that even the Gravemind gained the standards of a noble character because of this, who decided to contain Plunderboid in his organization "Tremors" not so much because of his skills as a warrior, but primarily because of his desire to protect the inhabitants all of Equestria from the horrific deeds of Plunderboid.
- Although he appears to be a well-intentioned extremist at first, he commits his actions for his own selfish gain, and the "greater good of his race" is simply an excuse for his own selfishness in wanting to rule Equestria as a god.
- His exorbitant hatred of all Equestrians is not justified by anything other than a psychopathic sense of superiority over others, as well as due to a selfish feeling and delusional self-confidence that he is the natural god of Equestria, having the right to exist alone in this world.
Past[]
- Although he has faithfully, honestly and fruitfully fulfilled his role as Celestia's royal gardener for 500 years. Although, under his hand, dozens of books on growing a wide variety of plants were written, on which more than one generation of gardeners grew up in Equestria. And although Plunderboid received universal recognition and a reputation as an excellent and kind Equestrian not only from the Equestrians themselves, but also from Celestia herself, all of the above is nothing more than a facade that he used to conduct his conspiratorial affairs without attracting too much attention to himself.
- He sold all his failed experiments to a variety of customers throughout Equestria, passing them off as biological weapons, completely uninterested in the consequences of his “sales.” just to quickly hide the traces of all his illegal experiments from Celestia.
- He killed his assistant because she was close to tell Celestia about his illegal activities, and therefore he set one of his experiments on her, writing off everything in court as an accident during the experiment in order to avoid imprisonment.
- He is directly responsible for the spread of the Plunderseeds throughout Equestria, as it was he who sold the seeds of his race to Discord, who planted them next to the Tree of Harmony and gave them a magical condition according to which the Plunderseeds had to grow and destroy Equestria immediately after Discord's defeat.
Season 4[]
- He infected almost all of Equestria with representatives of his race in order to wreak massive destruction and kill as many Equestrians as possible.
- Indirectly poisoned Fluttershy with a poison that turns all living things into Plunderseeds. And although he did it unintentionally, when he found out about it, he felt sadistic glee about it.
- What makes this whole situation even worse is that Plunderboid narrates every step of her transformation into Plunderseed with sadistic joy, leaving Fluttershy horrified and despairing and the rest of the Guardians of Harmony enraged at Plunderboid's cruel action.
- When Princess Twilight desperately tries to reason with him, saying that despite the fact that he gained life and intelligence thanks to DARK Equestrian Magic, he was nevertheless a person capable of rational thinking, making decisions and choosing a path in life, and therefore he could improve for the better. She tried as an argument to say that, according to Celestia, he was happy, bringing knowledge, light and Harmony to Equestria and all its inhabitants. But only now Plunderboid answers Twilight and her friends that he was indeed happy, but only for a while, until he got bored with his role as an “enlightener”, adding that no matter what role he plays in Equestria society, under whatever façade did not live, he will always be faithful only to his selfish goals and to himself, as the embodiment of an ideal race, and will never be faithful to the inhabitants of Equestria, whom he calls a wretched and sickening parody of the true Harmony in Equestria, which he considers HIMSELF to be.
- He pretends to be weak, injured, and helpless in front of Twilight, only to sneak up on Fluttershy with his outstretched arm and threaten to slit her throat, to the horror and shock of the Guardians of Harmony. And he would definitely have succeeded if Twilight had not weakened his power in time with her magic.
Season 9[]
- He infected several Shadow Freddy warriors with his Plunder virus, ordering them to slaughter the entire population of Ponyville, hypnotized by Sombra.
- Although he and Shadow Freddy have the status of friends, there is nothing to indicate that they care about each other, so it is likely that they are only friends with each other because they are sadists. This becomes even more apparent when he showed no concern when Shadow Freddy was left alone to fight the Guardians of Friendship, resulting in Plunderboid choosing to run away cowardly to save his life.
My Little Pony: Make Your Mark[]
- He organized a massive infestation of Equestria with Plunderseeds, threatening the New Guardians of Harmony that if they tried to stop Opaline's plans, he would set his race against the entire population of Equestria.
- Cowardly runs away after Opaline defeat, leaving all the other members of the squad to their fate.
