ā | Preed: Actually, you all have. Captain, if you'll relieve yourself of your firearm. Korso: You backstabbingā¦ Preed: I learned from the best. But it wasn't just the money the Drej were offering; it was the health plan that came with it. They'd let me live, provided I kill all of you before they get here. They should be here shortly. |

~ Preed revealing his true nature and betraying Korso while holding him, Cale and Akima at gunpoint. |
Preedex "Preed" Yoa is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Joseph Korso) in Don Bluth's 11th and final animated feature film Titan A.E.
He is Joseph Korso's first mate aboard the spaceship Valkyrie, and is seen as a narcissistic yet suave personality. He, along with Korso, later reveal themselves to be working for the Drej and their monarch.
He was voiced by Nathan Lane.
What Makes Him a Hate Sink?[]
- At some point, he joined Korso and the Drej race to destroy the Titan Project, which is the last hope for humanity, in order to get paid.
- He's introduced sexually harassing fellow crewmate Akima, much to the latter's disgust.
- Even before revealed as a traitor, pretty much no one likes Preed, due to his arrogance and unpleasant attitude.
- When he reaches the Titan and reveals himself as a mole working the Drej, Preed betrays Korso, Cale and Akima to the Drej, while he will be spared by them and get paid in the process.
- Unlike Korso, who had morals and some redeeming qualities (to the point of redeeming himself), Preed is only out for himself. In the end, he's proved to be a smug, cowardly backstabber who only cares about money.
- He is even worse in the novelization of the movie, where he shoots his way through a crowd of innocent colonialists to Cale and Akima, lacks any (very minor) funny moments he had in the movie, and shows sadistic enjoyment of watching the Drej wiping out all life.
