What makes him a Hate Sink?[]
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic[]
- Despite Rarity initially thinking of him to be charming and kind, in reality he was neither of those. Here are the things he had done to her:
- Rarity expects him to give her the rose he picked, but he kept it for himself.
- Brings out a cushion only for himself to sit at the castle's yard, leaving Rarity to sit here uncomfortable.
- Makes Rarity use her shawl to cover a puddle so he wouldn't get himself wet.
- Expects Rarity to open a door for him.
- Expects Rarity to pay for his dinner.
- Inconsiderately dispraises Applejack's food in front of her.
- When Applejack's cake is about to land on both of them, he uses Rarity as a shield to protect himself from getting messy.
- He has shown that he has no redeeming qualities since he hardly cares for others but himself, wanted to be treated like a royalty and never possesses his chivalry whatsoever. Rarity had a good reason for calling him out for his behavior such as calling him "the most uncharming prince she has ever met" and "royal pain", and later gave him a well-deserved punishment by shaking off the cake pieces onto him which he accidentally bumps into a statue from behind.
My Little Pony: Deviations[]
- He is very lazy and unmotivated to the point of refusing to do his schoolwork.
- During Celestia's ways of guiding him, his self-centeredness wears heavily on her patience. This even causing her to regret of choosing him as her protege.
- Shown to be disregard of Celestia's offer of make friends in Ponyville.
- Ordering the royal guards into carrying out his belongings to Golden Oak Library instead of carrying them all out by himself.
- Due to his behavior, he was shown to be useless of doing anything to defeat Nightmare Moon.
- Instead of helping her defeat Nightmare Moon, he ordered Applejack to do pampering chores for him.
- Using animals as a shield to protect him and Fluttershy from Nightmare Moon.
- Though he initially gave Rarity a scarf and clothing, he expected her to give both back to him.
- Unintentionally distracts Rainbow Dash from helping the Pegasi trapping Nightmare Moon inside the wind sphere by having her abandon them and make their friendship official in writing.
- Acts very disrespectful towards Pinkie Pie as well.
- His overall behavior caused the five ponies and even Nightmare Moon to call him out for this, to the point where they compare him with Nightmare Moon since her motive was more reasonable than his. This even causes Nightmare Moon to be redeemed and punish him by sending him to the moon.
- Doesn't truly love his pet dog Bunny and treats him like a slave.
