Queen Bansheera is the main antagonist of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue. She is the ruler of the demons who terrorize Mariner Bay and her followers seek to bring her back as well as restore magnificent palace which Marine Bay was built on top of. She is also the mother of Impus/Prince Olympus and is shown to be one of the darkest and most irredeemable villains in the franchise.
What Makes Her Despicable?[]
- She used to be a tyrannical ruler of the Earth before she and her followers were sealed away.
- She has her minions cause destructive acts in the hopes of destroying Mariner Bay for standing in the way of her palace. These ranged from having Magnavore ignite a volcano to sending a tidal wave to drown it while her ceremony continues to sending a meteor while trapping the rangers to stop them from destroying it.
- She is one of the worst Bad Bosses in Power Rangers, as well as the first in which her abuse is neither played for laughs nor balanced with a redeeming quality.
- Most of her appearances involve threatening her minions whenever they fail. Her threat to Diabolico to take his power star from him and Impus (which she eventually does when he was killed the first time.)
- She absorbed Vypra just to restore the rest of her body just because she failed and even said she should've done this a long time ago. While she is a scrappy due to her acting, she doesn't deserve such a fate in or out of universe.
- She tricks Loki into luring the rangers to her palace so she can order Diabolico to kill the rangers without caring if it ends up killing his best friend Loki. When Diabolico refuses to do so, she literally forces him to take the shot against his will.
- Refusing to let Diabolico side against him, she forcefully takes his power to torture the rangers sans Carter to death and then brainwashes him into her slave once more.
- Would have killed Jinxer for being useless to her without his cards if not for Jinxer revealing his plan to destroy the Aquabase with Batlings infiltrating it.
- She doesn't care at all about her own son Olympius despite all of his devotion to her and berates him every time he fails a mission.
- Upon seeing that Diabolico exiled her son to the Shadow Realm, she orders Diabolico to leave him there to rot forever and even cruelly laughs about it beforehand, something that even the demons who hated Olympius were disturbed by her apathy.
- She doesn't mourn his death in the slightest.
- She tried to open up her tomb to unleash a horde of demons from the shadow world to overwhelm and destroy as many humans as possible.
- She tried to drag Carter down with her when her ultimate plan fails and would've done so if Diabolico's spirit hadn't shown up.
- While being sealed away while being beaten by her own demon horde for eternity is a brutal fate, she 100% deserves it for all her cruel acts.
